Every other VPN claims "no logs". Here's the part most of them won't show: a row-by-row breakdown of what we actually keep, in what format, for how long.
For every common piece of VPN-adjacent data, here's exactly what we do. Marketing-free, opinion-free, what's-in-the-code-free.
| Data type | Do we collect it? | If yes — where & for how long |
|---|---|---|

| DNS query contents | No | — |
| Bandwidth used per session | No | — |
| Session start / end timestamps | No | — |
| Which server you connected to | No | — |
| Email / phone / real name | No | (no accounts exist) |
| Payment info | No | (no payments exist) |
| Aggregate concurrent users per server | Yes | Cannot be tied to you. 30 days. |

This table matches Section 3 and Section 4 of our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is the legally binding version.
VPN servers run WireGuard with logging explicitly disabled at the config level. There is no log file to filter, redact, or "lose". The data is never written.
Server state lives in RAM. A reboot wipes everything. Nothing persists to disk that could be subpoenaed.
DNS queries from your device are encrypted and sent to public resolvers (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 default, configurable). Our nodes never see the unencrypted query.
There's no login. Nothing identifies one ClownVPN user from another at the network layer except their unsaved, ephemeral tunnel session.
Realistically, here's what we could hand over in response to a valid US court order or MLAT request:
A subpoena demanding "all logs for user X" returns the same answer whether X is a regular user, a journalist, or a hypothetical bad actor: we don't have it.
Free on Android. AES-256. Zero logs. By design, not by promise.
